This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The ice-covered point on the SE side of the entrance to Pizos Bay on Nordenskjöld Coast in Graham Land. Situated 10.65 km SE of Porphyry Bluff, 9.4 km NW of Cape Longing, and 30 km ENE of Cape Sobral. Formed as a result of glacier retreat in the last decade of 20th century. Antarctic Digital Database mapping 2012. Named after the settlement of Samotino in Northeastern Bulgaria.
