This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The ice-covered buttress rising to 1600 m in the SW foothills of Detroit Plateau on Nordenskjöld Coast in Graham Land. Situated between south-southwest-flowing tributaries to Drygalski Glacier, 4 km NW of Konstantin Buttress, 4 km ENE of Molerov Spur, and 4.15 km S of The Catwalk. Precipitous, partly ice-free W and SE slopes. British mapping in 1978. Named after the ancient town of Odesos in Northeastern Bulgaria.
