This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The sharp rocky peak rising to 1100 m in the NW extremity of Zagreus Ridge on Oscar II Coast in Graham Land. Situated 10.9 km NE of Dugerjav Peak, 7.85 km SE of Mount Walker, and 14.53 km W of Mount Quandary. Surmounting Hektoria Glacier to the NE and a tributary to Paspal Glacier to the SW. British mapping in 1978. Named after the settlement of Marchaevo in Western Bulgaria.
