This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky peak rising to 850 m in Zagreus Ridge on Oscar II Coast in Graham Land. Situated 2.73 km ESE of Duhla Peak, 11.18 km W of Mount Quandary, and 13.18 km N of Pirne Peak. Surmounting Hektoria Glacier to the NE, and a tributary to Paspal Glacier to the SW. British mapping in 1978. Named after the settlement Govedare in Southern Bulgaria.
