This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky island off the N coast of Low Island in the South Shetland Islands situated 1.67 km NE of Cape Wallace and 840 m N of Prisad Island. Extending 240 m in E-W direction and 90 m wide. British mapping in 2009. Named after the settlement of Beslen in Southwestern Bulgaria.
