This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky island off the NW coast of Low Island in the South Shetland Islands situated 830 m WSW of Cape Wallace and 1.08 km N of Fernandez Point. Extending 470 m in E-W direction and 290 m wide. British mapping in 2009. Named after the settlement of Glumche in Southeastern Bulgaria.
