This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The partly ice-free 8.9 km wide peninsula projecting from Foyn Coast, Antarctic Peninsula 13 km southeastwards into Cabinet Inlet. Ending in Spur Point to the SE. British mapping in 1974. Named after the Thracian god Heros (the Thracian Rider).
