This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The predominantly ice-free peninsula forming the NW extremity of Low Island in the South Shetland Islands. Extending 3.3 km in S-N direction and 2.4 km wide. Bounded by Kazichene Cove and Smochevo Cove to the W, and Berraz Bay to the E. Ending in Cape Wallace to the N. British mapping in 1968 and 2009. Named after the settlement of Limets in Southern Bulgaria.
