This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The flat rocky island off the N coast of Greenwich Island in the South Shetland Islands extending 290 m in NNW-SSE direction and 130 m wide. Situated 1.35 km WNW of Aprilov Point, 840 m ENE of Miletich Point, 880 m E of Kabile Island and 2 km SW of Ongley Island. Bulgarian mapping in 2009. Named after the ancient Roman fortress of Dinea in Northeastern Bulgaria.
