This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The mostly ice-covered peninsula wide 6.9 km and indenting for 6.6 km northwestwards between Hamburg Bay and Perrier Bay on the NW coast of Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Ending up in Bonnier Point to the W and Giard Point to the N. British mapping in 1980. Named after the settlement of Obitel in Northeastern Bulgaria.
