Origin

This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The mostly ice-covered peak rising to 600 m in Brugmann Mountains on Liège Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Situated 1.42 km W of Pavlov Peak, 2.34 km E by N of Polezhan Point and 1.93 km ESE of Disilitsa Point. Precipitous and partly ice-free SW slopes. Surmounting Zbelsurd Glacier to the N and Pleystor Glacier to the S. British mapping in 1978. Named after Emil Mishev, geologist at St. Kliment Ohridski base in 2004/05 and subsequent seasons, and base commander during part of the 2006/07 season.
