This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The mostly ice-covered island in the Pitt island group of Biscoe Islands situated 780 m SSE of Knezha Island, 3.35 km NW of Trundle Island and 3.4 km N of Vaugondy Island. The feature is 1 km long in SW-NE direction and 500 m wide. British mapping in 1971. Named after the settlement of Ribnik in Southwestern Bulgaria.
