This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The point forming the N extremity of Pickwick Island and the W side of the entrance to Misionis Bay in the Pitt island group of Biscoe Islands. Situated 1.6 km S of Sawyer Island and 1.6 km WNW of Plakuder Point. British mapping in 1971. Named after Metropolitan Metodiy Kusev (1838-1922), a leader in the struggle for Bulgarian Church autocephaly and national unification.
