This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The peak rising to 2000 m in the southern portion of Bastien Range in Ellsworth Mountains. Situated 25 km NW of O’Neal Nunataks, 4.66 km SE of Patmos Peak, and 20.56 km W of Lishness Peak in Sentinel Range. Steep and partly ice-free W slopes. Surmounting Karasura Glacier to the N, Nimitz Glacier to the NE, and upper Minnesota Glacier to the SW. US mapping in 1961 and 1988. Named after the Thracian fortress of Bergison in Southern Bulgaria.
