This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rock-tipped point projecting 400 m south-southeastwards from the E coast of Clarence Island in the South Shetland Islands, on the N side of the entrance to Smith Cove. Situated 5.91 km N of Sugarloaf Island, 1.17 km N of Ilyo Point and 4.28 km S of Cape Lloyd. British mapping in 1972 and 2009. Named after the settlement of Kakrina in Northern Bulgaria.
