This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 1.17 km wide cove indenting for 1.33 km the E coast of Clarence Island in the South Shetland Islands. Entered N of Ilyo Point and S of Kakrina Point. Its head is fed by Banari Glacier. British mapping in 1972 and 2009. Named after the British sealer Thomas Smith who narrated his four seasons in Antarctica in a book published in 1844.
