This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The ice-covered peak rising to 1350 m in the NW foothills of Detroit Plateau on Davis Coast in Graham Land. Situated 4.1 km S of Hargrave Hill, 16.26 km SSE of Havilland Point, 11.7 km SW of Volov Peak, 15.95 km W of Ezdimir Buttress and 24.2 km NE of Mount Ader. Steep and partly ice-free W and S slopes. British mapping in 1978. Named after Hristo Matov (1872-1922), a leader of the Bulgarian liberation movement in Macedonia.
