Origin

This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The mostly ice-covered peak of elevation 900 m in Solvay Mountains on Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Situated 4.9 km SE of Humann Point, 2.37 km SSE of Sheynovo Peak, 3.55 km SW of Mount Aciar, 3.5 km WNW of Paprat Peak and 6.07 km N of Mount Bulcke. Steep and partly ice-free SW and NW slopes. Surmounts Jenner Glacier to the SE, Duperré Bay to the SW and Dimkov Glacier to the WNW. British mapping in 1980 and 2008. Named after Georgi Kondolov (1858-1903), a leader of the Bulgarian liberation movement in Thrace and Macedonia.
