This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The ice-covered buttress of elevation 1200 m forming the SW extremity of Stribog Mountains on Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Situated 3.13 km E of Fleming Point, 10.15 km SW of Mount Parry, 7 km WNW of Mount Imhotep and 2.77 km N of Mount Sarnegor. Steep and partly ice-free N, W and SW slopes. Surmounts Zlatiya Glacier to the E and S. British mapping in 1980 and 2008. Named after the Slavic god of wisdom and knowledge Veles.
