Origin

This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The ice-covered peak of elevation 1600 m at the NW extremity of Gutsal Ridge in Stribog Mountains on Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Situated 5.5 km S of Mount Parry, 4.73 km NW of Kotlari Peak, 5.74 km N of Mount Imhotep and 7.95 km NE of Mount Sarnegor. Surmounts the heads of Balanstra Glacier to the E and Hippocrates Glacier to the SW. British mapping in 1980 and 2008. Named after the town of Polski Trambesh, and the settlements of Gorski Goren Trambesh and Gorski Dolen Trambesh, in Northern Bulgaria.
