This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The mostly ice-covered rocky point projecting 800 m south-southwestwards into Lanusse Bay on the W coast of Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Situated 2.63 km ESE of Driencourt Point, 6.55 km NW of Mount Parry and 5.4 km NNE of Minot Point. British mapping in 1980 and 2008. Named afer the settlements of Baykal in Northern and Baykalsko in Western Bulgaria.
