Origin

This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The ice-covered peak of elevation 1300 m in the NE part of Stribog Mountains on Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Situated 7.4 km E of Mount Rokitansky, 7.15 km S of Virchow Hill, 6.12 km SW of Mount Cabeza, 9.82 km W by N of Petroff Point and 6.95 km NW of Opizo Peak. Surmounts Paré Glacier to the W and N, and Laënnec Glacier to the SE. British mapping in 1980 and 2008. Named after the medieval fortress of Blesna in Southern Bulgaria.
