Narrative

A bay about 7 km wide just east of the Jelbart Glacier. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from aerial photographs taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition (1936-37) and called Utstikkarbukta (The Projecting Bay). Renamed after R.K. Stibbs, Officer-in-Charge ANARE Macquarie Island in 1951.
