This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
It is the place where the northernmost edge of Fildes Peninsula and the source of the Collins Icecap meet with. It is an exposed rocky wady because of the shrinking back of the melted source of the ice sheet. There's also frost weathering soil in the wady. When the snow of the ice sheet melted in summer, a large amount of water would form the depressions and the seasoning rivers. The water is clear and cool but hard to walk in it. It was named when aerial photos surveying and mapping in 1986.
