This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The ice-covered point on the SE coast of Smith Island in the South Shetland Islands, projecting 400 m into Osmar Strait and separating the glacier termini of Krivodol Glacier to the N and Pashuk Glacier to the S. Situated 16.9 km SW of Cape Smith, 16.3 km NE of Cape James and 3.4 km SE of Antim Peak. Bulgarian mapping in 2009. Named after the town of Sredets in Southeastern and the settlements of Sredets in Southern Bulgaria.
