This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The 2.8 km wide cove indenting for 1.55 km the NW coast of Trinity Peninsula in Graham Land. Part of Charcot Bay entered W of Nikyup Point. Formed as a result of the retreat of Andrew Glacier in the second half of 20th century. German-British mapping in 1996. Named after the settlement of Ognen in Southeastern Bulgaria.
