This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky peak rising to 1000 m in the W foothills of Hemimont Plateau on Fallières Coast in Graham Land. Situated 18.2 km SSW of Shapkarev Buttress, 4.75 km N of Grozden Peak and 5.85 km E of Mount Diamond. Surmounts Forbes Glacier to the N and Kom Glacier to the S. British mapping in 1978. Named after the settlement of Bunovo in Southern Bulgaria.
