This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The mostly ice-covered peak rising to 1100 m in Havre Mountains, northern Alexander Island. Situated 8.6 km E of Buneva Point, 9.31 km SSE of St. George Peak, 2.85 km SW of Nicolai Peak and 5.25 km N by W of Simon Peak. Surmounts Lennon Glacier to the N and Pipkov Glacier to the S. Precipitous and partly ice-free W slopes. British mapping in 1971.

Named For

Named after the Bulgarian composer and folk songs arranger Filip Kutev (1903-1982).
