This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The trapezoidal lake 480 m long in SE-NW direction and 112 m wide on Robbery Beaches, Byers Peninsula on Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands. Surface area 4.55 ha. Separated from the waters of Barclay Bay by a 16 to 40 m wide strip of land. Centred 4.67 km SE of Essex Point and 1.8 km WNW of Varadero Point. Surmounted by Penca Hill on the S and Enrique Hill on the NW.
Named after the mythical king Diomedes of Thrace.
