This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The roughly triangular lake extending 225 m in N-S direction and 215 m in E-W direction on the SW coast of Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands. Surface area 3.15 ha. Situated 140 m from the sea and centred 965 m E of Rish Point, 440 m S of Clark Nunatak and 1.4 km NW of Amadok Point.
Named after Volturnus, a Roman deity of water and rivers.
