This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The trapezoidal lake 450 m long in WSW-ENE direction and 90 m wide in the eastern part of Flamingo Beach on the N coast of Greenwich Island in the South Shetland Islands. Surface area 3.8 ha. Separated from the waters of Orión Passage by a 20 to 40 m wide strip of land. Situated just W of Agüedo Point and centred 800 m ESE of Brusen Point.
Named after the Nereids, sea nymphs of Greek mythology.
