Names that other countries have for this feature:
A steep mostly ice-free valley in the Darwin Mountains, dropping from the edge of the Midnight Plateau near Mount Ellis to Island Arena. Feature shown on: NZ AntTopo50-MN04
Discovered by the Victoria University of Wellington Antarctic Expedition (1962-63). So named because the valley is virtually the only easy route of descent from the Midnight Plateau.
