A mountain with steep slopes on the south and east rising to c.3020m, in Stever Ridge, Victory Mountains, north Victoria Land. Approximately 2.6km east-southeast of Mount Payne.
Named for Louis (Lou) A. Yost IV, geographer and toponymist. Secretary of United States Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) 1997-2005, Executive Secretary, U.S. Board on Geographic Names (USBGN) 2006-2019, being offices in the United States of America which include responsibility for geographic nomenclature in Antarctica.
