Rigui is an instrument used in ancient China to measure time by observing the position of the shadow of the sun. It consists of a disk and a pointer. Rigui is an important invention in the process of ancient Chinese people's understanding of nature and the crystallization of human wisdom. This glaciated lowland covers a wide area, with only a prominent highland in the central, resembling a Rigui, so it is named "Rigui Glaciated Lowland".
