A peak 2,110 m high south of Byrd Glacier, about 38 km south-west of Mount Hamilton. Discovered by the Northern Party of the N.Z. Geological and Survey Antarctic Expedition (1960-61) and so named because the peak consisted of multi-coloured beds of Beacon Sandstone with probable dolerite lying on pink-green limestone.
