This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A rock bluff at the southern end of the Mawson Escarpment, just south of Tingey Glacier. Plotted from ANARE air photographs taken in 1956, 1960 and 1973. Named after G.R.L. Rimington, (then) Assistant Director, of the (then) Division of National Mapping, Australian Department of National Development, 1961-66.
