Narrative

The peninsula occupies an area approximately 3 kms by 2 kms about 13 kms north-east of Fuller Island and 6 kms south of Miles Island. It is immediately south of the Charnockite Peninsula. The peninsula rises steeply out of the surrounding water and contains one large lake with an island in the centre and numerous smaller lakes. Cliffs form most of the southern perimeter and the highest point is located near its northern edge above Igrivaya Bay. Mapped by the Soviet Antarctic Expedition in 1956.
