This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A snow-covered rock feature in the Goodspeed Nunataks, southern Prince Charles Mountains, about 9 km ESE of Skinner Nunatak. First sighted by an ANARE seismic traverse party in 1957. Photographed by ANARE in 1958 and 1960. Named after I.R. Northcott, aircraft engineer with the ANARE Prince Charles Mountains survey parties in 1971 and 1972.
