A low, snow-covered, rock ridge about 2 km west of Humphreys Ridge in the Goodspeed Nunataks in the southern Prince Charles Mountains. First sighted by an ANARE seismic traverse party in 1957. Photographed by ANARE in 1958 and 1960.
Named after R.J. Mitchell, plant inspector at Mawson in 1971 and a member of the ANARE Prince Charles Mountains survey party in 1972.
