Narrative

A bathymetric deep slightly elongated in a NE-SW direction but with irregular boundaries which are poorly defined. The Nanok Deep is below 500 m and extends under the Amery Ice Shelf.

Named For

Named for the ship Nanok Sunder charter to the Antarctic Division at the time of study of the distribution of foraminiferids in Prydz Bay.
