This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A hill, at Cape Denison, about 35 m high, to the west of the rocky ridge of which Azimuth Hill forms the northwestern end.
The feature was named by Douglas Mawson during the Australasian Antarctic Expedition, 1911-1914 and appears on official maps of the expedition.
