Narrative

An island about 1 km south of Mule Island, off the southern part of the Vestfold Hills. Mapped from air photographs taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition (1936-37). Photographed by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47), the Soviet Antarctic Expedition in 1956 and ANARE in 1957 and 1958.

Named For

Named Ostrov Kazak (Cossack Island) by the Soviet Expedition.
