Narrative

An island about 1 km off the north-western end of Filla Island in the Rauer Group off the Ingrid Christensen Coast. Mapped as part of Filla Island for air photographs taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition (1936-37). Photographed by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47), the Soviet Antarctic Expedition in 1956 and ANARE in 1957 and 1958.

Named For

Named Ostrov Kryuchok (Hook Island) by the Soviet Expedition.
