This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A bay in the south-west part of the Larsemann Hills. Plotted by Norwegian cartographers from air photographers taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition 1936-37 and called Stornesbukta (Big Cape Bay).
Named after Arthur Wilcock, Secretary of the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia from 1952-57 and a member of the Committee until 1975.
