This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The easternmost of a pair of islands lying about 0.6 km west of the north-west tip of Stornes Peninsula in the Larsemann Hills. The centre of this island lies about 0.4 km to the north-east of the centre of Richardson Island.
Named after Richard Hill, Senior Electrical Fitter (Mechanic), at Davis in 1986, who greatly assisted with the establishment of Law Base.
