This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A small crescent shaped island 2 km south of Browns Glacier in the Rauer Group.
Named for Nigel Peters, a surveyor with the Australian Land Information Group (AUSLIG) who undertook map control survey work in the Rauer Group in the summer of 1989-90.
