A large ice-capped mountain (1,600 m) in the Traverse Mountains, isolated by wide snow passes from McHugo Peak and Mount Allan to the N and S of it, on the Rymill Coast, Palmer Land. Named by the UK-APC after John Fraser Noel (1942-66), BAS diesel mechanic, Stonington Island, 1965-66, who lost his life while sledging with T.J. Allan near Tragic Corner, Fallieres Coast, in May 1966. |
