N side of Prince Gustav Channel, Trinity Peninsula, was probably sighted by SwAE in 1902-03; following survey by FIDS from Hope Bay in November 1945, named descriptively (BA chart 3205, 12.ii.1954; APC, 1955, p.4; BAS 250 sheet SP 21-22/13, 1-DOS 1974). Cabo Circular [=circular cape] (Argentina. MM, 1953, p.323; Pierrou, 1970, p.248). Cabo Bald (Chile. DNH, 1962, p.218; IHA, 1974, p.38).

Bare, ice-free headland 8 mi SW of View Point on the S side of Trinity Peninsula. Probably first seen in 1902-03 by J. Gunnar Andersson's party of the SwedAE under Nordenskjold. The FIDS charted it and applied the descriptive name in 1945.

Es probable que este cabo haya sido avistado en 1902-1903 por la partida de J. Gunnar Andersson, de la Expedición Antártica Sueca de 1901-1903, al mando de Nordenskjöld. El FIDS lo cartografió y le puso el nombre descriptivo Bald Head cabeza calva en 1945. Es un cabo de piedra desnuda, de aproximadamente 150 metros de elevación, situado a 13 millas al W del cabo Burd, extremo SW de la península Tabarín, costa oriental de la península Luis Felipe.

An island about 45 m above sea level in the northern part of the Stanton Group, about 5km north-west of Oldham Island. The Stanton Group was mapped and named by BANZARE under Sir Douglas Mawson in February, 1931. The islands were first mapped from air photographs taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition (1936) and called Kamelen (The Camel) by Norwegian cartographers.
