rising to 675m W of Roman Four Promontory and forming the W entrance point of Neny Bay, Marguerite Bay, Fallières Coast, was surveyed by BGLE in 1936 and so named in association with Neny Fjord (q.v.) (Rymill, 1938a, map facing p.432; APC, 1955, p.15; DCS 601 sheet 68 66, 1955). Neny Mountain (Black, 1945, p.9). The island was further surveyed and climbed by FIDS from "Stonington Island", 1946-48. Isla Neny (Chile. DNH chart 530, 1947; Pierrou, 1970, p.546; Chile. IHA, 1974, p.210). Neny Islands, as rejected form (USBGN, 1947, p.205). Islote Neny (Sgrosso, 1948, p.186). Neny-Øya (Rønne, 1950b, p.42). Neny Eiland (Knapp, 1958, p.581).

Island 1.5 mi long which rises to 675 m, lying 1 mi NW of Roman Four Promontory and directly N of the mouth of Neny Fjord, off the W coast of Graham Land. Discovered by the BGLE under Rymill, 1934-37, and named after nearby Neny Fjord.

Fue descubierta por la Expedición Británica de John Rymill entre los años 1934-1937. Está situada a 4 millas al SE de isla Millerand y mide 1,5 milla de largo de E a W por una de ancho. La isla es montañosa de costas acantiladas, sus laderas están libres en parte de hielo en verano, su máxima altura corresponde a un pico agudo en su centro con 634 metros.
