rocky outcrops on the W side of Longing Peninsula, extending southwards for c. 4km from Longing Gap. Location of the Nordenskjöld formation (upper Jurassic) and named after Dr Nils Otto Gustaf Nordenskjöld (1869-1929), Swedish Geographer, geologist and polar explorer, Leader SwAE 1901-04.

Rock outcrops on the W side of Longing Peninsula at the NE end of Nordenskjold Coast. The feature extends S for 2 mi from the vicinity of Longing Gap and is the type locality for the geologic Nordenskjold Formation. Named by the UK-APC following BAS geological work, 1987-88, after Otto Nordenskjold, leader of the SwedAE, 1901-04, who explored this coast in 1902.
